OkiLingo is a language learning platform that allows users to upload songs with synchronized transcriptions and learn languages by listening along with karaoke-style lyrics.

3. User Accounts

  • You must create an account to upload or delete content.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

4. User-Uploaded Content and Copyright

You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you upload to OkiLingo does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party.

By uploading content, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the copyright to the content, or you have obtained all necessary permissions, licenses, or authorizations from the copyright holder(s) to upload and use the content on this platform.
  • The content does not violate any applicable copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property laws.
  • You have the legal right to distribute and make the content available through OkiLingo.

OkiLingo does not claim ownership of content you upload. However, by uploading content you grant OkiLingo a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, and serve the content to users of the platform for the purpose of providing the service.

OkiLingo is not responsible for verifying the copyright status of user-uploaded content. If you are unsure whether you have the right to upload specific content, do not upload it.

5. Copyright Infringement and Takedowns

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content hosted on OkiLingo infringes your copyright, please contact us with:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • The URL or identification of the content on our platform.
  • Your contact information (name, email address).

We will promptly remove or disable access to content that is found to be infringing.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OkiLingo and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the service, including but not limited to damages resulting from copyright claims related to user-uploaded content.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OkiLingo and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your uploaded content, or your violation of these terms. This includes any claims arising from copyright infringement related to content you upload.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the service at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
